Tungsten Barrel Weights Vault Pack | 1/8oz–1oz, Tube Inserts
Lifetime Blank Warranty + 50% Crash Replacement
Manufacturing defects are free. Every Backwater Outlaw carbon rod blank is warranted for the life of the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. If a blank fails in normal fishing use because of how it was made, we repair or replace the rod or the affected section. Reels & hardware: manufacturing defects are repaired or replaced under warranty.
Crashes are half price. Rods don't mostly break on fish — they break in car doors, on tailgates, and under boots. Any Backwater Outlaw rod, any accidental breakage, is replaced at 50% off the current price of the same (or closest equivalent) model, once per rod.

Barrel-profile tungsten weights with protective tube inserts — the Carolina and Texas rig workhorse. Tungsten's density keeps the barrel short and sensitive: you feel gravel, shell and wood through the weight instead of guessing, and the insert protects your line from edge wear at the bore.

| Spec Attribute | BACKWATER OUTLAW Direct | Big-Box Retail Equivalent |
|---|---|---|

| Compliance | Lead-free by construction | Lead tackle faces growing restrictions in California waters |
Technical FAQ
Why does the tube insert matter?
The insert lines the bore so your line slides through a smooth plastic channel instead of a raw metal edge — less fray, especially with braid-to-leader connections.
Barrel vs bullet weight?
Barrels roll less and present a longer profile — the classic Carolina rig choice. Bullets peg tighter for punching cover.
What size for Carolina rigs?
1/2oz-1oz for depth and wind; 1/4oz-3/8oz for shallow flats.
Lead-free?
Yes — tungsten alloy, no lead.
