Covered: Every BACKWATER OUTLAW carbon rod blank is warranted for the life of the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. If a blank fails in normal fishing use because of how it was made — delamination, ferrule failure, a guide insert that lets go — we repair or replace the rod or the affected section. Not covered: impact damage, car doors, tailgates, ceiling fans, and high-sticking (see Crash Replacement — you are still covered, differently); saltwater corrosion from never rinsing; modifications or repairs by anyone else; normal wear (cork/EVA compression, finish scratches, worn guide inserts after seasons of braid). How to claim: 1) Contact us through the store with your order number and photos of the failure. 2) We confirm coverage in writing before anything ships. 3) Ship the affected section to the California address we give you. 4) Replacement dispatches under the Shipping SLA once received. Fine print, in plain English: warranty is to the original purchaser with proof of purchase; 'lifetime' means the service lifetime of the product line; discontinued models are replaced with the closest current equivalent; this warranty is in addition to any rights under California and US consumer law.
