Salminus Power Baitcasting Reel | 8.0:1, 12kg Drag
Lifetime Blank Warranty + 50% Crash Replacement
Manufacturing defects are free. Every Backwater Outlaw carbon rod blank is warranted for the life of the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. If a blank fails in normal fishing use because of how it was made, we repair or replace the rod or the affected section. Reels & hardware: manufacturing defects are repaired or replaced under warranty.
Crashes are half price. Rods don't mostly break on fish — they break in car doors, on tailgates, and under boots. Any Backwater Outlaw rod, any accidental breakage, is replaced at 50% off the current price of the same (or closest equivalent) model, once per rod.

The power end of the casting lineup: a metal aluminum frame, brass main gear, carbon handle panel and a 12kg drag ceiling. The Salminus is built for heavier baits and heavy cover — 218 grams of metal where the finesse reels use carbon, with a double aluminum spool setup for line flexibility.

Technical FAQ
Is this a BFS reel?
No — it is the power sibling. Same lineup, opposite brief: heavier baits, heavier cover, metal frame and brass gearing instead of a 131g carbon finesse build.
What baits suit it?
Mid-to-heavy jigs, frogs, swimbaits and flipping presentations — roughly 10g and up.
Why brass gears?
Brass is the classic power-gear material: strong, smooth under load, and it wears in rather than wearing out.
Which spool do I start with?
The deeper spool for all-round line capacity; the second spool for a dedicated heavy-braid punching setup.
