Overhead Jigging Reel | CNC Aluminum, 10 kg Drag
Lifetime Blank Warranty + 50% Crash Replacement
Manufacturing defects are free. Every Backwater Outlaw carbon rod blank is warranted for the life of the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. If a blank fails in normal fishing use because of how it was made, we repair or replace the rod or the affected section. Reels & hardware: manufacturing defects are repaired or replaced under warranty.
Crashes are half price. Rods don't mostly break on fish — they break in car doors, on tailgates, and under boots. Any Backwater Outlaw rod, any accidental breakage, is replaced at 50% off the current price of the same (or closest equivalent) model, once per rod.

A CNC-machined aluminum overhead reel built for vertical jigging and light slow-pitch work. The level-wind interlocking mechanism lays line straight across the spool for a smooth fall and an even retrieve under load, and the machined brass driver gear is cut for torque, not speed. This is the left-hand 5000 configuration with a metal power handle — a boat reel for anglers who fish the jig all day.

Technical FAQ
Is this the left- or right-hand model?
Left hand — the handle is on the left side, the configuration most vertical jiggers prefer for working the rod with their dominant hand.
Can I fish it in saltwater?
Yes — it is built for ocean boat and rock fishing. Rinse with fresh water after every trip and dry before storage.
What line does it take?
The maker rates the spool at PE #5 for 150 m. Braid in the 40–65 lb class covers most light-jigging work.
How fast does it ship?
Orders ship in 5–8 business days. Free U.S. shipping on orders over $70; Express available at checkout.
