Lake Powell
A vast red-rock reservoir famous for striped bass boils and multi-species fishing among canyon arms.

Depth & Structure
Vast red-rock canyon reservoir; spring stripers group in 30-80 feet near river inlets and dam, spawn staging in less than 40 feet around rock piles and points, summer stripers hold 60-90 feet and below thermocline at 25-30 feet with bait fished 25-40 feet
Best Lures
Heavy spoons and bucktail jigs for deep stripers, trolling crankbaits and spoons in main channel up to 5 mph with downriggers/leaded line, casting plastic grubs/tubes and topwater during surface boils/slurps, jigging spoons through sonar-marked schools
Best Baits
Cut anchovy and sardine bait is the classic Powell striper bait, fished on bottom or at depth, with chumming with anchovies allowed to hold schools
