Lake Fork Reservoir
Holds 15 of the top 20 Texas record largemouth bass - arguably the world's premier trophy bass lake.

Depth & Structure
Maximum depth 70 ft (Wikipedia), built as a trophy bass fishery with about 80% standing timber left intact plus hydrilla/milfoil. Timber under ~8 ft holds pre-spawn/juvenile fish, 10-20 ft timber holds bigger fish year-round, and summer fish suspend near timber/main-lake points in the 18-28 ft thermocline band.
Best Lures
Texas-rigged worms, jigs and drop-shots in tight timber; deep-diving crankbaits banged through timber on points in 12-18 ft; Carolina rigs dragged slowly on points/humps near channels; jigging spoons and swimbaits for suspended schooling fish; topwater in open pockets.
Best Baits

Gear to Bring
Heavy baitcasting tackle for timber — heavy fluorocarbon or braid to resist abrasion (a current Fork guide report cites 20 lb fluorocarbon on a Carolina rig and medium-heavy 7'6" rods); line cutters and a long-handled net for snagged timber work.
Local Tips
