finesse-baitcasting-reel-150-g-7-2-1
Finesse Baitcasting Reel | 150 g, 7.2:1

A 150-gram micro baitcaster for light lures and finesse presentations. The drilled carbon-fiber spool starts up fast with small baits, the 7.2:1 retrieve picks up slack the moment a bait lands, and the frame is aluminum alloy — not plastic at this weight, which is the usual trade. An easy first baitcaster, and a light second reel for anglers who already fish finesse.

Blueprint Spec Block

Weight

150 g

Gear ratio

7.2:1

Bearings

4+1

Max drag

9 kg (maker braking-force rating)

Frame

Aluminum alloy

Spool

Carbon fiber, drilled

Handle

Interchangeable, left or right hand

Maker model

HDL-23

Retail vs. Factory-Direct

Spec Attribute

BACKWATER OUTLAW Direct

Big-Box Retail Equivalent

Spec disclosure

Full spec sheet published on this page

Specs split across packaging, often incomplete

Buying model

Factory-direct, no retail distribution markup

Retail markup built into the shelf price

Price position

$44.99 direct

150 g-class finesse baitcasters from big-box brands retail for $60–$90

Technical FAQ

Which hand should I order?

Pick the hand you reel with.
